Happy New Year!

Hi there, happy new year! Another year, another chance to keep up with those resolutions! I'm hoping 2013 will be much better than 2012 was. Without getting into too much details, we've had a lot of health issues in my family, I'm praying for a healthy year for them! In the meantime, there hasn't been much time for scrapping in my schedule, and this year won't be any better! On Monday I start school full time for the next 16 months. I will stop by here when I gets free moment. In the meantime, I did manage to make a little inspiration piece for myself today, to commemorate my new journey :). I used some leftovers  of Crate Paper's On Trend line.

A mini

Here again, this is definitely a record, lol! I wanted to share a little mini book that's still in progress. I started this oh sometime last year, when my boss Tammy gave me this Fancy Pants kit, a leftover from when they visited us at the store. I decided to do a mini instead of the usual layout because I had almost the whole line. So, my goal for this mini is just INSPIRATION, mostly in the form of quotes, which I've always loved. Here's what I've done so far.

In this House

Hi everyone, just stopping by to share a quick wall hanging I made this morning. Every so often I need to play a little, especially when I don't have enough time to sit and do a layout. I was blog sufing this morning, and saw this quote somewhere, I wish I could remember, and knew I wanted to use it on a wall hanging. I just gor the Daily Junque papers from Pink Paislee, and wanted to use them, so it was perfect timing! I embellished it with Crate Paper's layered chipboard from the Neighborhood collection. I painted the edges with gold crackle paint, and used Maya Road and Prima ribbons on it. The letters are from Basic Grey.

Thanks for looking :) Have a wonderful weekend. I'm hoping for a relaxing one indoors, with lots of party prep for Kaiden's birthday next week.

The Sun will come out...

happy Monday...not!! I'm sure your Mondays are just as hectic as mine, with coming back from the weekend, numerous errands, school pick up and drop offs etc. Today has been pretty okay so far, not too crazy, I must be getting better at this jugggling stuff, lol! This morning's rain was much needed and welcomed. Kaiden seemed very intrigued with it too! I snapped a few quick photos of him looking outside, for the few moments he stood still all day.
Well March really kept me busy, and scrapbooking was just not possible. I'm hoping I get the chance to do some this week. I did get the chance to play a little this morning, while it was raining, and I made this tag. I've been wanting to play with inks and stuff for a while now, so I dabbled a little this morning. I used glimmer mists, and twinkling h2o's and the negative of Tim Holtz's flowers diecut for my "mask."

My guy's 30!!!

Hey everyone, just stopping by to share a birthday card I made for Shane. Today we are celebrating his 30th birthday!! I can't believe how much time has passed by since we've known each other. I've been blessed to find such a wonderful person to share my life with. He's the best daddy, friend and soulmate a girl can ask for, and though he's not perfect, he's perfect for me! I love you Shane, now and always, and can't wait to spend at LEAST another 30 years with you!

On the first day....

OMG is it really December 1st? Wow and wow again. It's ridiculous how fast this year went by.

Well I think I'd like to try something new. I've been gathering ideas for this Christmas and I thought, I should do a 12 days of christmas series, so here it is. I will feature something different for the next 12 days or so {as close as I can get} of ideas that I'm looking at, thinking of making etc. for this year. So for Day 1, I've decided on Advent calendars, since they should be up TODAY!

Here are a few cute ones:

I spotted this one at the Paper Niche last night, and had to have it, so I will be putting this lil beauty together tonight, and hopefully using it as well! See you tomorrow

Playing Catch up!

Wow, where has August gone? I can't believe we're almost half way through September! I've had so much going on, and just trying to get adjusted to the new school schedule is a feat all on it's own. I was so ready for September, to just be home and relaxing on the weekends, lol, but that's out the window. We had family in town last weekend, which was nice, but tiring, and this weekend is another full one with a baby shower, and more out of town guests. But I'm not complaining because, I'm so thankful for all I have, and love being able to see and spend time with everyone. Anyways, I hope you all are having a wonderful weekend. A few pics before I go, of Jen's first day of school, and a quick altered tag I made, also our trip to Harry Potter a few weeks back. See you next time!

Altered...a bit

I bought this beautiful little notepad from Paper Niche last week, and decided I had to make it look scrappy. I think I'll use it as my little inspiration keeper. It's from 7 gypsies, and they are soo cute by themselves, but I wanted mine to look inspiring, lol, to help inspire me. It came together pretty quickly, as I pretty much grabbed stuff that was lying around on my desk. I have to say, as small as it is, it felt great to be scrapping again after such a while!

A "mini" creative break!

Hi all, I can't believe we're almost halfway through July! Seriously, time flies. I've been so busy with planning Kaiden's birthday, I've haven't gotten a chance to blog much. I've been knee deep in the little details, that make the party so memorable. I'll have to share soon! In the meantime, I took a little break last night and created a mini banner. It's just that, mini, the triangles are only 2 1/4 inches wide! I think I'll be adding some pearls to it, but other than that, I think it turned out cute. The papers are Making Memories, and I used Cherry Limeade Glimmer Mists on the large pink Bazzill scalloped circles, then crumpled them. I pop mounted the smaller green scalloped circles on top and finished them with Thickers alphabet. Not sure what I'll do with it, but it's so cute!!

A Quick Mini

This was a quick little project I did last week. I've had these papers now for quite sometime and was hoping to get to them since before Christmas! This is the friendship line from Teresa Collins, I love her!! I've been a huge fan of her work since before she was on her own. I just love how clean and beautiful her lines are. This album took about three hours from start to finish, but I think most of that was deciding how to assemble it! I finally decided to just cut all the papers in half and use both sides of the papers, they were all too pretty. This is just the "base," I still have to go back and add more embellishments, but I loved the way it turned out. Of course there's pictures to add too, but that's a whole other project in itself. I was also thinking of making a couple more like it. ;)
