Altered...a bit

I bought this beautiful little notepad from Paper Niche last week, and decided I had to make it look scrappy. I think I'll use it as my little inspiration keeper. It's from 7 gypsies, and they are soo cute by themselves, but I wanted mine to look inspiring, lol, to help inspire me. It came together pretty quickly, as I pretty much grabbed stuff that was lying around on my desk. I have to say, as small as it is, it felt great to be scrapping again after such a while!

A trip to the Dentist

On Monday Jenny had her very first trip to the dentist, eek, I know she should have been going since she was two, lol, bad mommy. In my defense though, I tried to make an appointment with this dentist over a year ago, when he was right next door to her chool, but never got to speak to an actual person because they were so busy. Then he ended up moving into his own practice in Miramar, so we were finally able to see him. At first I wasn't quite happy with the far drive, especially with both of them being sick, but when we got there, I forgot all about that! It was such a wonderful experience, great clean, modern office, an uber friendly staff, and it was not busy at all. Most of all Jenny loved it, she never once squirmed, complained, or cried, and man was I relieved. I absolutely loved it, and I'm so glad to have found an awesome dentist, and a comforatble enviroment at that.  Besides a few doctor appointments this week, I've been keeping busy planning a couple of baby showers. I'll be back to show you my progress with those soon.

Recouping, restarting, and taking stock...

all of those things are what I've been doing over the past couple of weeks. It was such a crazy busy time for the past few months, that after Kaiden's party, I just needed some time to relax, and unwind. I spent some time at my inlaws, with the kiddos, which is always relaxing, but then had to come back home to the mess that was, my house!! Finally, I feel like I can breathe again, whew, but not for long. I'm in the middle of planning a baby shower for my sister in law next weekend, and another for a friend in a few weeks. It's never a dull moment around here. Besides all of that, I've been re evaluating my new Year's resolutions, taking stock on how close I am to some, if any, of my resolutions. Well, after a long hard look, I realize I'm not doing too well on any of them. Excuse the language, but I seemed to have done them all "half-assed," lol. I definitely started the important ones, so now it's time to finish them up. One of my resolutions was to organize and print my pictures, well I've been printing alot, now it's time to organize. I would say I've somewhat kept up with the scrapping, but it's kind of unfair to say that, since I only promissed myself to do one a month, lol. Secretly I wanted to do more, but thought I would feel better if I accomplished that small goal, yeah I've got issues, I know! But the biggest challenge this year has been my weight loss goals. Ever since last summer I've been on this constant cycle of diet, exercise, and quit and start over. Well last week, I finally hit rock bottom, so to speak, lol,  and decided I just need to just do it already! No more excuses, no more quitting. So I figured, if I blogged about it, that would make me stick to it. So there, I said it and now I will do it. So far it's been four days of eating healthy and walking 2 to 3 miles a day. I know it doesn't seem like much, but it's a start. I'll keep you all posted on my progress. I do have a goal weight and if I reach it, I'll let you know. I hope everyone is having a great summer so far, I can't believe how fast it goes. Pretty soon it will be back to school, and then holiday time, eek!!
