Feelin' Scrappy...

I finally caught the creative bug. My second page this week!. I'm on a roll, let's hope I can keep it up. Did this one using some October Afternoon papers I've had for some time now. It's simple but it's gonna have to be if I ever wanna get caught up. I felt these pictures were perfect for the papers. This was the first time we ever let her play in the grass. We were at my uncle's house in upstate New York and he let her down on the grass. Before I could run to pick her up, Shane said let her play, so we just watched as she has a ball! The grass was so soft, much different from the grass down here. I'll never forget how much she loved it! Well thanks for stopping by. Hopefully I'll be keeping up with my scrapping and blogging.

Inspired

Finally after months of not scrapping, I've created a layout! I was really inspired by the Traveler line from My Little Yellow Bicycle. I was waiting for it to come in and I picked it up a couple of weeks ago at The Paper Niche. This is the first layout I've done since having the baby. I did this layout on Me and Shane since there's hardly any pages of just us in my scrapbooks. This photo was taken last year and has been siiting on my fridge ever since. I've been wanting to scrap it for some time now, and these papers just seemed right for it. I'm hoping to squeeze a few more layouts out of these beautiful papers. Thanks for stopping by!

My little guy!

Hey all, sorry it's been so long. I'm sure most of you know what it's like having a newborn around, as well as an active three year old! I'm not able to get much of anything done around here. My little one, Kaiden Khaleed Baksh was born on July 20th,weighing in at 6lbs 7ozs, and 20 inches long. He is just over a month old, and is such a sweetie pie. While there is plenty of crying, eating, pooping and lots of sleepless nights, I am so happy to be his mommy. It's definitely been tough getting used to having two kids now, but I'm slowly getting adjusted. Jenny has been a great big sister, so helpful and loving to him, sometimes too much! She still has her moments, but it's to be expected, she's a three year old. In the beginning it was much more difficult, but over the past few weeks it's gotten much easier. I feel so blessed to have two beautiful and healthy kids with a loving and supportive family. Too often we take for granted such small things, but lately I've become more aware of how truly lucky I am to have them. There are so many parents out there whose children are handicapped and so many children who have abusive or even no parents at all. When you know someone in a situation like that, it really reminds you of how lucky and blessed you really are. Anyways, I didn't mean to ramble on and on.

Monday was Jenny's first day of the new school year. I can't believe she's on her second year of school already. I feels like just yesterday I was holding her in my arms like I do with Kaiden. She's getting so big already, it's hard to believe. Here are a few pics from today. It's so funny that just twelve months ago I took identical pics of her by herself, and now she has a little brother! Last year it was heartwrenching for me to send her off to school since it was her first time. However this year was filled with joy and excitement for her and me. I'm so happy she loves school. She loves her teeachers and her friends, it's such a big part of her world, and it makes me happy when I hear her talk about it. I'm very excited about her learning so much more this year. She will actually start writing this year! I know, I'm such a dork, but I'm so happy that she has learned so much and is continuing to learn so much more. I'm sure this year will be a great one for her.
Well let's see if I can keep up this blogging stuff, and maybe even start scrapping again! Thanks for stopping by.
