It's that time again!

Yes people, it's party time at our house. I'm busy planning Jen's 4th birthday party. Did I just say 4!!!! I can't believe how big my little girl is getting :(. The only good thing about her birthday is that I get to plan a fabulous party!! So this year's theme is going to be Jenny's Candy Shop. Since it's just 4 weeks away I figure I better get started because we all know what a procrastinator I am. I picked up some tissue paper at Target yesterday to start working on some pom poms to hang from the ceiling. I originally saw the idea on Martha Stewart but I love the way this looks with the lanterns mixed in. So that's my next project for this week. I also have a couple quick layouts I worked on over the weekend, like I said quick, lol.

This one was made out of just scraps, from my would be Baby Shower for Kaiden. I still had to print pics of him to add to it!

A quick Christmas layout. I just love the look on his face, even though my face is cut off.

Yummy!

I stopped by The Paper Niche yesterday because I was a few minutes early to pick up Jen from school. Boy was that a bad idea for my wallet! Gine was putting out Webster's pages, and I was drooling! Wow how beautiful the new papers are. I came home with two of their collections, and I can't wait to start playing with them. Although I've loved them since they debuted a couple years back, I have a hard time working with them since it's not my style, but I will surely have fun! Their designs are always beautiful with amazing details. Be back soon with some layouts!

I can't wait to finally do some baby pages!!

This is new...

Yes it's been quite a while since I've made a card. I've always had intentions of making them from my scraps, that I've been collecting for years! But somehow I don't get to them as much as I would like to. I made this one Tuesday night for my hubby. I had a free night without the kids, and just needed a little scrappy time. It took me over an hour to make, but I'm pretty happy with the way it came out. One of our favorite things to do together is have tea every night after we put the kids down. It's our time to relax and catch up on each other's day. It's just one of those moments I'll always cherish.

Love is in the air!

Wow, it's february already, I am still in shock. but in an effort to stay on top of things this year, and not PROCRASTINATE, I've already started thinking, Valentines. I've been browsing the web, looking for ideas and some inspiration for crafts, and gifts, and Valentine goodies for Jen's class. Found these on Martha Stewart, too cute! Maybe we might make cupcakes, if we have time, or just decorate some from Publix.
This year i decided to include my sweet hubby in some fun stuff also. Usually Valentine's is all about Jen, and now Kaiden too. So I decided from now until Valentine's I'll write him a love note, and slip it in his lunchbox, just to remind him of all the reasons I love him so! I've already premade these, now I just have to fill them out, and sneak them in every night!

Feeling Inspired

Wow, check me out, two posts in one week! On the topic of resolutions, you know scrapbooking would have to be on there right? Well as usual every year I resolve to scrap more, and I start off all gungho in the beginning of the year and then fizzle off after a few months. Well this year hopefully things will be different. I've set a specific goal, at least one layout per month. That's it! How hard can that be right? So I stopped by The Paper Niche last week and picked up Fancy Pants' new vintage Valentine line. I am absolutely in love with it. in fact, instead of just one layour, I created three! that means I'm caught up til march right? lol, well here they are:

Is it really...?

Seriously I can't believe it's 2010 already! We're begining a new decade people!! I know I'm pretty late with the whole New Year thing, but the truth is, January has been pretty nuts around here. The entire family, yes all four of us, have been sick at some point during this month. Both kids have had pink eye, I've had my own eye issues, and Shane has had a cold for the past week already. So now that I've finally got some time to breathe, I've been concentrating on my New Year's resolutions. Ususally every year, I make this ginormous list of stuff I must do every year, and then fail miserably. Then I finally figured t out, I dream way too big, and also I never have a plan of action. So this year I decided to do things a little different. I made a much smaller list, and I've decided to break it down by months. I will dedicate a full month (or more) to doing each of my goals. practicing them until it becomes a way of life for me. For example, January has been get fit and healthy month, Ha! But all month long and most of December I've been working out and eating healthy. I must say it has become somewhat habitual for me, and I'm so happy about it. I'm also cooking more, and more healthy as well. So now that February is almost here, that will be a month or organizing and cleansing. I plan to try to organize every aspect of my life, scrap stuff, house, bills, documents etc. In the process I am cleansing and purging as well. In fact I've already started a bit. Well I hope that you all are keeping up with your resolutions, and I wish you the best of luck with the process! Until next time...

Let the countdown begin...

So here we are eleven days left, and I could not be crazier. Every year I tell myself I’ll start early on everything, but noo, I never do. WHY!!! The list is long as usual. There’s still more presents to be bought and wrapped, gingerbread house to be made, cookies to be baked, Cards to be made and mailed, ( yes I know I’m crazy trying to do that now!) and pictures to be taken. I originally planned on going to the studio and using our portraits for the cards, but I haven’t even made our appointment yet! So last night I attempted to take pictures of the kids in front of our tree. Well besides them both being tired and cranky, I had my camera on the wrong setting and also took the pictures horizontal instead of vertical. Well I thought I could fix that, but it appears I can’t. Unless, someone out there knows how to? I tried my hardest and couldn’t. So if you do, please let me know how. So anyways, tonight will be take two, on the pictures. And hopefully by some Christmas miracle my cards will be out tomorrow and Everyone on my list will get one this year! Here’s my progress so far. Today I feel like I made a dent. I went shopping, starting wrapping, and Tonite I’m finishing up the assembly on the cards. Well I also managed to make a Christmas countdown, pictured, before the beginning of December! I’ve had these Making Memories blocks for years now, and saw the idea somewhere in blogland, and was so inspired. I finished it up in no time! Sadly that’s the only creative thing I’ve done, besides my cards since November. Maybe after the holiday I’ll be able to get back to being creative. But who am I kidding, I’ll have to start planning Jenny’s 4th birthday party! Oh well, I hope you all are enjoying your holiday season so far, and hopefully getting through your to-do’s as well. Thanks for still stopping by, If there’s anyone still reading !
