Nice

Yay, a 2010 Christmas layout in 2010!! Lol, this is definitely a new one for me, but 2010 has proven to be a good year scrapbboking wise for me. I've actually finished printing all my Christmas pictures as well, and I'm currently working on a second layout! here is the first one, entitled "Nice" using Pink Paislee's Father Christmas line, from my box of goodies! Yes there are many more Pink Paislee layouts in the near future!

See ya next year Santa!

Whew! It's all over, Christmas has come and gone, and now it's time to get back to routine. While we had a wonderful holiday, spending time with our family, presents, food, love etc., I'm glad to get back to normal. The holidays can be quite overwhelming, and chaotic and I'm sure glad, it's only once a year. Now it's time to start scrapping those pictures, which I can't wait to do! In the meantime, here is a layout I did a few weeks back, and have been meaning to share. I've got a few more pages in progress, that I'll share soon!

On the tenth day...

we have an early visit from Santa! Ok well maybe not Santa himself, but the next best thing, one of my FAVORITE companies, Pink Paislee!!!! They were having their own 12 days of Christmas countdown over at their blog, and being the huge fan that I am, I was following it and commenting as well, for a chance to win some of their giveaways. Now I'm not a lucky person by any means, in fact I've never won anything, EVER, so imagine my surprise when I saw my name on their list of only 12 winners, nationwide!!! Wow I was beyond surprised, shocked, stunned, and just completely floored! I was super excited, just for the chance to win, what I thought was a few papers and a sticker or two. Boy was I ever surprised when a box came to my door on Saturday morning. Take a look at what was inside!

Seriously, these pictures don't give justice to the amount of stuff that is all here! I'm so excited and thankful to Pink Paislee, and I can't wait to start playing with all of this gorgeousness!

On the Ninth day...

we have all things Christmas! I've finally got my decorating finished, and now I'm concentrating on getting ready for a holiday dinner we are having on Saturday. Here's a few pics from around my house

On the Sixth day...

we have christmas cookies! Every year for the past three or four years I've been making cokkies for our friends and family. It's become a wonderful tradition, and something I hope to share with Jenny over the years. This year I'll be making the usual peppermint bark, coconut macaroons, buckeyes, and mexican wedding cookies, along with a new recipe for gingerbread cookies. I've began making my list of ingredients to purchase this week, so I can bake next Friday! I can't wait! I've also been busy working on layouts and a Christmas book, to capture all the holiday happenings this year!

On the fifth day...a little late!

we have Christmas stories! I didn't get a chance to do my fifth day post yesterday because I spent the day doing an awesome Harry Potter book with my friend Kriste who taught the class. You can check out this amazing class on her blog!
Anywhoo, this year we have already began reading Christmas stories with jen every night. Of course there are the classics:

We are reading these as well this week:

This book seems to be the favorite at the moment. I caught a quick pic of story time last night!

On the Fourth day...

We have gingerbread houses! I’ve always wanted to make these ever since the first time I saw them years ago. Finally last year, when Jenny was actually able to help and enjoy the process, we did our first one. Boy, was that hard. I mean I’m a scrapper, and we should have some kind of patience for this stuff right? Yea right, it was the worst gingerbread house I had ever seen! Lol, but I guess we can check that one off the tradition list. You live and you learn, so no more Gingerbread houses for us. We will leave that one to the really talented folks, like these below: check out the fabulous houses!

This one is over 16ft tall. It's displayed at Disney's The Grand Floridian Hotel

On the Third day....

I want to share some of my favorite December "countdowns," from amazing scrapbook artists and companies with you!
Here are just a few of many.
This first one is from a scrapper I've been following for a few years now, Christine Middlecamp. She is doing a Christmas notecard series. Her work is incredible, and this series is super inspiring.
Another long time favorite, and I'm sure for some of you too, Is Tim Holtz. He is doing his 12 tags of Christmas series. I have been drooling over these since he started a few years back, but have never actually attempted one on my own! He is beyond incredible, and just uber talented.
Pink Paislee, one of my favorite companies is also doing a 12 days of Christams countdown. So far it's just jam packed with beautiful inspiration.
And lastly, another of my favorite artists, Teresa Collins is also doing a 25 days of Christmas giveaway series, just awesome! Check it out, and maybe you will win!

On the Second Day....

So for today i chose Christmas trees since I'm still putting mine up! I'm almost done, but not quite. I can't believe it, I'm usually done on black Friday for sure.  Well here are some absolutely gorgeous trees I found. I've also included a not so great pic of mine from a few years back, as you can probably tell!

On the first day....

OMG is it really December 1st? Wow and wow again. It's ridiculous how fast this year went by.

Well I think I'd like to try something new. I've been gathering ideas for this Christmas and I thought, I should do a 12 days of christmas series, so here it is. I will feature something different for the next 12 days or so {as close as I can get} of ideas that I'm looking at, thinking of making etc. for this year. So for Day 1, I've decided on Advent calendars, since they should be up TODAY!

Here are a few cute ones:
