Well I can't believe how time flies. It's already been a whole month since I've last posted. Things have been kind of rough lately. Just at the beginning of my summer, I mean literally the last day of work for me, my aunt suddenly passed away. On June 3rd, she died suddenly of a massive heart attack. She was only 52, it was so sudden and such a major shock to our family. So at 33 weeks pregnant I boarded a plane and headed to New York for her funeral. It was all so surreal to me. I still can't believe she's not here anymore. It's been really hard on my mom as well. I haven't felt like doing much of anything since, so I guess that's why I haven't posted. Well as with all things, I'm sure time will heal. For right now, I try not to think about it too much.
I've been trying to concentrate on other things, like preparing for a little one who will be here in four weeks or less! I have just begun packing for the hospital, and haven't even started preparing the house yet. In the mean time, Jenny is home for the summer and I've been trying my best to entertain her, which is not easy, let me just say! Three year olds have a very short attention span, therefore she gets bored so quickly.
I've been also meaning to share pictures from my surprise baby shower that Tammy and Rhonda from the Paper Niche threw for me. It was the weekend right before my aunt passed...so that's why I haven't shared until now. It was such a wonderful surprise, totally unexpected and very much appreciated. It ended up being my only shower since I cancelled my family shower because I didn't want to celebrate so soon after my aunt passed. Anyways, it was at The Cheesecake Factory at Sawgrass Mills. Here are some of the pictures.
I've also been scrapping a little...ok very little. I did one layout using the new October Afternoon papers I picked up from The Paper Niche. I'm so loving that stuff. I have another layout in the works, that I will share as soon as I finish it! Since I've been in baby mode, I decided to do this layout of Jenny when she had just arrived. These pictures are from her first few days. It's hard to believe how tiny she was. Sometimes you forget about the little things like this.
