I love spring!

I don't know about you but I have been loving this weather! It's been beautiful here, and ever since the time changed, it's even better! I love the long hours of daylight, beautiful sunny and breezy days, and coming home while it's still bright. On Monday my mom and I bought some plants and she planted a garden in my backyard. No, I'm not an outdoor person, so I don't garden, but I was excited about having one. We, being she, planted strawberries, tomatoes, eggplant, cucumbers, peppers, a lime tree and a few herbs. I also bought this beautiful climbing rose tree for my front entrance. I love coming home and seeing the bright blooms, just another reminder that spring is here.

I was even in the mood to scrapbook, and scrapped this page of Jenny over the weekend. I was inspired by her pictures outside at the park. She loves going to the park, and now's the perfect time to enjoy many more trips there. Ahh, spring how I love thee!

Lame Blogger

I know, it's been a while. I hate it that I'm such a lame blogger. I wish I could blog at least once a week. That has been my goal since I started this blog, but as you can see that hasn't happened. Well hopefully I will get better at it. I hope you're all well. I've been good, but crazy. It's been quite a busy few months for me. Lots of events such as birthdays, weddings, baby showers, and my hubby traveling so much. A few weeks ago, we celebrated Jenny's 3rd birthday, which consumed a few months of my time planning. I can't believe my little girl is 3 already! Where does the time go? It was a really nice party. Everyone had fun. It was nice to spend time with our friends and family. Here are a few pictures. I, of course, have yet to print the pictures much less scrap them. I will hopefully do so soon while I'm still excited about them. Am I the only one out there that likes to scrap my most recent pictures first?

I think most of you will notice something different about me in the pictures. I've been meaning to share that. I'm pregnant! Yes, I'm 5 and a half months, expecting a little boy at the end of July. We're quite excited and so is Jenny. She can't wait to be a big sister. Everytime I tell her I have to go to the doctor, she thinks I will bring the baby home with me! She's so sweet, poor kid's got a long wait though. Well, thanks for looking and hopefully I'll post more soon.

It's Friday!

Wow, I can't believe it's Friday already. So happy for the weekend. Well, I told myself I need to start scrapping more, and so I've been. Here are a few recent layouts. I wish I could set a goal for myself, but then I would just end up not reaching it, so I won't even try! The pictures aren't so great, but you get the idea.
Thanks for looking, Hope you have a great weekend. Mine will be spent working, and attending a BBQ on sunday. Hope the weather gets a little warmer by then!

Wow, time flies!

I know, I know, it's been a while huh? I feel like I've been under a rock for the past few months. Christmas flew right past me and I can't believe we're in 2009 people!!! I didn't even consider making any resolutions this year. I don't think I want to either, it just leads to disappointment, when I mess them up. I've been up to nothing, just really tired and in a scrap slump lately. I've got some pics and other things to share, and will do so soon. It's good to be online and blogging again. Hopefully I'll do more of it this year! Hope everyone had a great holiday.

Happy Monday!

Lately I've been loving Mondays. I'm not sure why, maybe it's the weather, or the beginning of a new week, a chance to start fresh, I'm not sure. Whatever it is I like them and so does Jenny. I noticed last Monday and today she's been in a great mood, so excited and energized. This morning as I finished putting my bags in the car and turned to get her, I saw her standing like this. I just had to grab my camera and snap a pic!

I had a great weekend, and I hope everyone else did too. Mine was very productive. I finished reading a book I've been reading for a few weeks now. I also did a few loads of laundry, decorated for fall, and finished making Jenny's halloween treat bags for her class. We also went to the patch on Saturday and after we went to Olive Garden for dinner with my parents. Shane worked, so it was just Jenny, myself and my parents. It was nice spending some quality time with them. I worked on Sunday but still had the evening with Shane and Jen. And of course ended my Sunday night with an epicode of Army Wives. Oh how I love that show. I'm sad that there's only one more episode for the season. :(

The C word

CANCER... it's a word I know too much about. I wish I didn't have as much exposure to it as I've had. I've lost many family members to this horrible and hated disease. October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and I just wanted to share this with everyone. I had my annual checkup today. I am always concerned about cancer, and those of you who know me, also know I'm actually kind of paranoid about it. I drive my family crazy always thinking something is wrong with me. For the past couple of weeks I've been hearing about this blood test called BRACanalysis on the radio. I asked my doctor about it today, and he told me he recommends that I get it. It helps you find out your risk of heriditary breast and ovarian cancer. I was actually really excited about it. It's kind of costly, around $375, but worth it. I did it today and am waiting on my results. I have a feeling it might come back positive, but that will just reassure what I've known all along. It will also help me to prepare myself for it and work hard to prevent it. I'm also having a mammogram today. I know I'm kind of young but I say you can never be too cautious with the C word, So I just wanted to share with all of you that this awesome blood test is out there and it can help us especially in early detection. To learn more about the blood test go to BRACnow.com I hope that we will all take every measure to keep up with our health and always get your yearly checkups to safeguard yourself from this disease. I'm happy that I've done this in honor of my loved ones, because I know early detection will make a huge difference in the battle. Thanks for reading.

Change is good...

For as long as I can remember I've been a procrastinator. I've also been unorganized, which I thinks comes from me being a procrastinator. I finally reached that point where I couldn't take it anymore. I've slowly began changing all of that about myself and I'm so proud of it! I'm managing my time better and making time for the important stuff like spending time with Jenny, our friends and family, and most of all scrapbooking. I love the idea of never having to worry about deadlines or not having time for the fun stuff. I'm planning ahead more and enjoying it all. I am so happy with myself, so I had to share! Sorry if I bored anyone. Here's a couple of layouts I did a few weeks back. I've been meaning to post, and finally got around to it.
